A memory that I wanted to share with you all but couldn't do it last week was when Me and my family were held hostage in our home 6 years ago. This is very hard for me to talk about but I know that I need to for it to help me.
SAD MEMORY:
It was 3 am and my dad had jsut left the house to go down to the milk barn like he always did at that time. The workers that worked for us, got the cows in as normal. But thats when my mom heard a knock on our back door. It was the men, they busted their way in and thats when my mom was screaming for me to call 911. But that early I had no clue what was going on so I just walkeed around the corner and thats when I saw my mom getting beat up by one of the men and the other one preceeded to come from behind me and put a knife to my neck. It was horrifying. Just then they told us to call my dad from down at the barn and asked us to tell him to come back up to the house. This is when they demanded money from us. We had to wait until the bank opened at 8:30 for my dad to leave. They told him that if he was followed that they would kill my mom and I. I was so terrified. I didnt know what to think. My dad came back with the amount that he could get and thats when they tied us up upstairs and then left the house in my moms suburban. My mom untied herself, then she untied me and my dad. he went searching the house to make sure that they had left. When we knew that they had, we called the cops. We told him to come in an unmarked car because we didnt know for sure if they were gone or not from the property. 15 minutes later he and all of the Medina County Sheriff Department were coming up our road. 30 minutes before the report had been made DPS pulled the men over in pleasenton for looking suspicious. They said that they were running an earn for their boss from La Coste and the officer let them go. The men then preceeded to Laredo where they left my moms car and on foot headed to Mexico. One of the men is still somewhere in Mexico, the other one is in the Medina County Jail.

Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry that something so horrible had to happen to you and your family. But, you are right. In order for you to be able to heal you have to get it out and talk about it. Those men took more from you all that day more than money. They took your feeling of safety away from you in your own home. The place where you should always feel the safest. Again I am so very sorry and I hope they catch the other one so he will never again be able to do that to anyone else.
