Question: How do you learn?
I am a visual learner. I have to see what is being taught and also I have to imagine it in my mind. Also, I have to see things actually written down infront of me. If not then I have no clue on what is going on and it is hard for me to grasp information. So my strategies that would help me would be: rehearsal, elaboration, and organization. without these things I would not be able to remember what I have learned.
When it comes to my MI, I am one of those people that has to study and work mostly alone. If not then I feel like I become lost. I need to sit there for awhile and read and sometimes write down what I am doing. If other people are there talking and telling ideas while I am doing this and trying to learn and study, I get so confused and I end up not grasping what is going on. But yet I can study with the tv and music on. If it is completely quite I don't learn either.
I try to motivate myself by pushing myself to do the maximum that I can do. I try to push myself as hard as I can. I also compete with my friends and family to try and get somewhat better grades than them. If not then I atleast know that I did my best. The outside motivation that I get is that if I am to do good at school or something else that I am doing at that moment, then it might be possible that I could get rewarded with money or some other type of gift.
These are the strategies, MI, and motivations that help me with my learning process!!
