Fiction 3321

Reading fiction stories is about letting your imagination create images in your mind. It would be fun to read the students a story and then have them tell you first what you think the character looks like. It would be very interesting to find out how the students portray a character in their own minds. And then when they actually see the picture they can see if it is close to what they were thinking. I believe that it would help our young readers feel closer and more open to reading for fun. Yes some fiction books are hard to picture in our minds, but others are a little bit more easy. I feel that having the students do this, their projects if any, will come out a lot more creative in the long run.

Read A Louds 3321

Doing a read-a-loud with a classroom would be fun. It would get many of the kids invovled. But like that movie that we watched in class on Tuesday...I thought that there were somethings that the teacher could ahve done differently. She was just having the studetns answer some of the questions, otherwise she was telling them the differences and what was missing in certain parts of the book that were not being repeated in the other pages. I would think that in order to keep the students interested in the story, the teacher would want the students to notice and answer things on their own. This way they are remembering what they are learning while the story is being read.

NON fiction 3321

Non-fiction books are to tell us about real facts taking place in our world. We may think that there are boring to read and look through....I know that I do.....but they are so full of information and has us expand our minds. They are books that are helpful in doing reports, papers, or just for our own entertainment. I think that in reading to the kids one of these books, it would be best to not over whelm them with all the info inside, just briefly tell them the important things inside of the book.
